apparently this was this fellow’s dream for many years, to have a black velvet portrait done. his wife made it happen and her words are some of my most favorite:
“He loves it! He was so surprised and stoked when he opened it. He has been tell ing me for 20 years that he needed to have a velvet painting of himself. My husband loves it so much - He’s just disappointed that it’s not life sized.”
